These funds are used to build ‘Elephant Pumps’ - a modified version of an age-old Chinese rope pulley system. One such pump is currently being installed in Africa on our behalf and it will be a much-needed source of clean and fresh drinking water for many.
Our organisation’s name will be proudly displayed on our well and we look forward to adding a photo and a letter of thanks from the villagers to our site in the near future.
To date AquAid have built over 10,000 such Elephant Pumps across parts of Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe; and have donated in excess of £20 million to charity.
Our Chelmsford hub are very fortunate to have a full size Pick 'n' Mix stand in the reception, and in return for sweets, all we ask is a donation to SNAP charity is made. 100% of this money goes to SNAP and we are proud to announce that our Chelmsford hub have raised £371.38 to date.From SNAP: The contents of your SNAP collection pot have been counted and I am so pleased to say that Create Business Hub, Chelmsford have raised an amazing £251.08. Together with these funds, makes the total raised to date an incredible £371.38! Each year our team and all the hub tenants from Brentwood and Shenfield, dress up, make tasty cakes and collect donations from our hubs.
We are so grateful to be surrounded by so many kind and helpful people, who give up their time (and hard earned money!) to help others. This is a huge team effort, being shared between everyone and we are very proud that our last event raised £1252.45 which was outstanding.
Our friendly and inclusive co-working space for rent provides businesses and individuals with a place where collaboration and community are highly valued. Whether we are celebrating a special occasion, hosting an event, raising funds and awareness for charity or battling it out in a pool competition, we like to bring some fun and atmosphere to the workplace!
A comfortable, unique workplace with breakout areas and creative aspects isn’t simply for fun (although it IS fun!), it is in our opinion an essential aspect to creating a balanced, calm, working atmosphere. Our welcoming and quirky offices boost morale and helps to enhance workplace wellbeing, as well as encouraging staff retention and social networking between offices.
To achieve this we, brought together a team of experts from interior design and architecture, to IT and more, to create an immersive and stimulating workspace not usually found outside of London. Businesses looking for office space in Essex have had to put up with uninspiring ‘normal’ places to work from for too long, we wanted to change that, so with our dedicated team, great locations and personal touches, CREATE Business Hub was born.
We moved into CREATE Business Hub six months after they opened... it’s a great place to work... it’s a fun, friendly, creative environment and it has a real community feel. We viewed numerous office spaces when we were looking to relocate, but they all felt so stuffy and corporate compared to here. We love that everyone says hello to each other at the Hub and they are so neighbourly... (and the Christmas parties are on point!).
